Book Review: Skin Deep By Laura Jarratt

Name: Skin Deep
Author: Laura Jarrett
UK Publisher: Egmont
UK Release Date: March 5th
Summary: Ugly people don't have feelings. They're not like everyone else. They don't notice if you stare at them and turn away. And if they did notice, it wouldn't hurt them. They're not like real people. Or that's what I used to think. Before I learned...

Review: Skin Deep. Such a beautiful heartfelt story that totally matches the saying don't judge a book by its cover.
The story is about the lovely Jenna who suffered a horrible disfiguring to her face due to her being in a car crash that killed her best friend. Now she has met Ryan... The sweetest guy who looks passed her scarred face and sees the true her...
Let me start by saying how emotional this book will have you. I've never felt this emotionally drained touched and bloody excited from a book in a while. The words, sentences paragraphs just has you totally memorized.
Now of course there is quite a few books out there like that one BUT I must say it's defiantly in the top ranks! I must of went through two boxes of tissues with this book.

Gradually through out the book you start to notice she doesn't care about her face I think Laura has cleverly written this novel so well. You can defiantly read each page and have a vivid image in your head of how each scene is set. its so descriptive.

The characters are amazing I loved Ryan he is such a sweetheart and yes he has his bad sides but he is defiantly one guy all us girls want in our life! And also Jenna she is such a charismatic girl and very brave and I think this can inspire a lot of people going through the same thing as her!

I remember a YA author telling me once the most frustrating thing about writing YA is the parents in the book. They always get in the way...when you want to portray something. I did find it frustrating at time with this book where the parents are concerned and I felt a lot there was a lot of "Oh its late I better get you home" like A LOT but I must say that even with that the book was still awesome  I would defiantly suggest reading it!
