WitchLove By Emma Mills blog tour review to come...

Today WitchLove stops with us at Dark Readers, sadly my review isn't quite ready.
WitchLove is the third book in the rollercoaster series which I have already reviewed on here. WitchBlood the first in the series was addictive and compelling

and just recently I got round to reviewing the second book in this awesome Vamp/Witch series in WitchCraft here is my review this book was soooo action based I could barely breathe.

What I will say is Emma never fails to deliver, and I am pleased to say I was right about something from WitchCraft to WitchLove and I practically screamed out loud.

Here is the summary for the latest book WitchLove With the reappearance of a lost love, Jess flees to the only people who can help her control her increasing powers and gain independence – her family’s coven. But with a bruised heart can Jess learn to forgive or will she find new love in the United States? Witchlove, the third installment of the Witchblood series, is a new adventure that takes Jess from New England to Voodoo country in the South.

I am hoping to devour and review for you guys tomorrow. I am halfway there and my has Jess become a much more confident Witch/Vamp.

Don't forget to follow the last few days of the WitchLove blog tour...my review will be up ASAP!

Book Review: You Had Me At Hello By Mhairi McFarlane

Name: You Had Me At Hello
Author: Mhairi McFarlane
Publisher: Avon

Summary: What happens when the one that got away comes back?

Rachel and Ben. Ben and Rachel. It was them against the world. Until it all fell apart.
It’s been a decade since they last spoke, but when Rachel bumps into Ben one rainy day, the years melt away.
From the moment they met they’d been a gang of two; partners in crime and the best of friends. But life has moved on. Ben is married. Rachel is definitely not. In fact, the men in her life make her want to take holy orders…
Yet in that split second, Rachel feels the old friendship return. And along with it, the broken heart she’s never been able to mend.
If you love David Nicholls and Lisa Jewell then this is the book for you. Hilarious, heartbreaking and everything in between, you’ll be hooked from their first ‘hello’.

Review: It was either just before Christmas or just after. I kept seeing this book advertised and I ummed and awwwed for a little while. Whilst I was flicking through ibooks alongside Twitter I noticed that 'You Had Me At Hello' was actually 99p to purchase. Still without a kindle I am reading the odd book on my iPhone. What the hell did I do before my iPhone.
For me Avon are kicking some butt with the feel good reads at the moment, as you can see by my reviews I recently read 'The Baby Diaries' from Avon and here I am again with another of their books.
I honestly don't know where to start in reviewing this book, how can I say anything that gives 'You Had Me At Hello' justice. I was told that this book would test my emotions and boy did it do that. Rachel is the perfect heroine in my eyes and in some aspects she kind of reminds me of me.
The fact that she is a journalist really hit home for me having studied journalism, it was great to get a real insight to the day to day life of a journalist. The characters you meet along the way like Gretton and Zoe. What surprised me the most in this, the ones you trust aren't always worth giving your trust to. Rachel learnt the hard way, but that is because she is a moral upstanding citizen. YES, I can hear the small voices saying are journalists ever like that and I believe they are. Rachel is the sort of journalist that I aspire to become.

How would you feel if you bumped into the love of your life years later? Do any of us ever realise that the love of our lives have gone until it's too late.

Ben and Rachel took me on an emotional rollercoaster, I went through every single emotion, each lunch break was too short and bus journeys went by in a flash. I was mesmerised by their tale of friendship and love. Not to mention the dramatic twists and turns just when you thought you knew what was what, and who you liked and disliked bam....all change.
This novel will have you reminiscing and thinking of your own life and you will be well and truly sucked into the turbulent world of Ben and Rachel.
This book will take over each and every thought, I now kind of wish I had a physical copy as I would definitely be lending it to everyone and anyone. I just could not put it down, a truly addictive read.
The way Mhairi writes is just pure and utter genius, I would love to see her return to Ben and Rachel's turbulent story again in the future and I look forward to what is next from yet another fantastic author.
The storyline will have you on the edge of your seat this novel offers you so much, and Mhairi is focusing on real life issues that we all come across every single day of our lives.

All I will say is give You Had Me At Hello a read, it is well worth whatever you pay for it you seriously will NOT be disappointed.

Book Review: WitchCraft By Emma Mills

Name: WitchCraft
Author: Emma Mills

Summary:
Jess is no ordinary vampire. Protected by the Manchester vampire clan, and initiated by her family’s east coast American coven, she is sought after by every dark witch and warring vampire faction. Jess must fight if she wants to keep hold of her friends, her sanity and finally her existence.

As the dead bodies of human girls begin to stack up, and her recently accepted vampire boyfriend, Daniel, finds himself in prison, Jess goes on a crazy, forbidden trip to London, racing against time to save an old friend and solve the mystery behind Daniel’s incarceration. In battling new enemies and finding new friends, Jess’s confidence finds room to grow, but who will she lose along the way?

Review:
WOW! just wow, this is the second book in the series and I am truly addicted once again, I really do love this series.
There are so many twists and turns I have been on the edge of my seat throughout.
WitchCraft had me guessing loads and I was never prepared for what actually happened.
WitchBlood was addictive and compelling and WitchCraft takes Jess's story to a whole new level.
OMG! This book will have you on the edge of your seat and the edge of your last nerve. I don't want to let any spoilers slip as the second book in this fantastic series is very action based. There are a few big incidents that will have your begging for book three WitchLove. I am still quite disturbed by the goings on and I hope both me and Luke were wrong about a few things that happened.
WitchCraft truly tests everything Jess has ever known and ever come to know since her re-birth.
For those of you out there that love a good witch-based read this novel looks at Jess as a witch moreso than a vampire.
WitchCraft tests everything she has ever known and everything she has come to know since her change. For me WitchCraft is predominantely about getting to know the real Jess in both of her lives. As a reader you will see the caring human and the naive witch/vampire.
There are some new characters that you will be unsure of to start with, but hey they all have their very own purpose in this story.
Jess is well and truly tested to the core but what a rollercoaster ride this series really is. I'm not ready to get off just yet? Are you?

Book Review: From What I Remember By Stacey Kramer & Valerie Thomas

Name: From What I Remember
Authors: Stacey Kramer & Valerie Thomas
Publisher: Electric Monkey
UK release date: OUT NOW

Summary: KYLIE: Mexico? What a nightmare! I should be putting the finishing touches on my valedictorian speech. Graduation is TODAY! Wait! Is this a wedding band on my finger
MAX: It started with Kylie's laptop and a truck full of stolen electronics and it ended in Ensenada. It was hot, the way she broke us out like some chick in an action movie. But now we're stranded here, with less than twenty-four hours before graduation.
WILL: Saving Kylie Flores from herself is kind of a full-time occupation. Luckily, I, Will Bixby, was born for the job. And when I found out she was stuck in Mexico with dreamy Max Langston, sure, I agreed to bring their passports across the border - but there's no reason to rush back home right away. This party is just getting started.
LILY: This cannot be happening. It's like some cruel joke. Or a bad dream. I close my eyes and when I reopen them, they're still there. Max and Kylie Flores, freak of the century. In bed together. If Kylie thinks I'm giving him up without a fight, she's dead wrong.

Review: When I got this book I read the first couple of pages and my reaction was "WHAT THE...." to be sucked in on the first couple of pages like that was amazing. Let me tell you why "From What I Remember" is a fantastic coming of age novel about finding who you are, finding your soul mate and having one heck of an adventure in Mexico.

The authors are either huge movie buffs or they have done huge movie research! The amount of movie relation and quotes is fantastic. I loved the fact that it was honestly like watching a movie! I could close my eyes and feel the heat of the Mexican sun on my face that's how detailed this book was.

I loved the plot. Geeky girl has to do a project with the popular guy, they meet up in Starbucks while she gets her bag Stolen. They chase after the person only to find themselves in a roller coaster of a ride through Mexico falling in love. Sounds crazy huh? But it works!!!

I'm loving the contemporary romances at the moment and I'm telling you this is one book that's at the top of the list. I loved how it switched between characters... It's always nice to find out what all the characters are thinking especially in this fast paced novel.

I loved the characters kylie is a very broad character for me! Her personality shined through and you could really grow with her as a character through out the novel. Max was a pain in the ass but I loved him! His good looks, cocky, kind ways were something I was addicted to while reading this book.

So if you want to be swept up on a road trip through Mexico for the day eating tacos and wearing beautiful dresses while you fall in love with a boy while sharing a hammock? Then this is the wondrous book for you! Loved it!!!!

Teardrop By Lauren Kate COVER REVEAL!!!

I am soooooooooo excited about Lauren Kate's new series and here is the beautiful cover of Teardrop the first of her new series....

Goodreads summary: Never, ever cry. . . . Eureka Boudreaux's mother drilled that rule into her daughter years ago. But now her mother is gone, and everywhere Eureka goes he is there: Ander, the tall, pale blond boy who seems to know things he shouldn't, who tells Eureka she is in grave danger, who comes closer to making her cry than anyone has before.
But Ander doesn't know Eureka's darkest secret: ever since her mother drowned in a freak accident, Eureka wishes she were dead, too. She has little left that she cares about, just her oldest friend, Brooks, and a strange inheritance—a locket, a letter, a mysterious stone, and an ancient book no one understands. The book contains a haunting tale about a girl who got her heart broken and cried an entire continent into the sea. Eureka is about to discover that the ancient tale is more than a story, that Ander might be telling the truth . . . and that her life has far darker undercurrents than she ever imagined. From Lauren Kate comes an epic saga of heart-stopping romance, devastating secrets, and dark magic . . . a world where everything you love can be washed away.

I knew that whatever Lauren Kate did next would blow me away...in seeing the cover and reading the summary I truly cannot wait to devour this book.
But I know I will be wanting the second book as soon as I have finished the first.

Book Review: The Baby Diaries By Sam Binnie

Name: The Baby Diaries
Author: Sam Binnie
Publisher: Avon
Release Date: 14th Feb ebook 28th Feb paperback

Summary:
The hilarious and heart-warming second in the series from the author of The Wedding Diaries.
"I'd be sick right now, but I never like to reinforce a cliché."
A few weeks after Kiki and Thom return from honeymoon, Kiki finds there's a noticeable absence. An extremely serious noticeable absence of something, it turns out, Kiki now realises she was pretty glad about. One pregnancy test later, Kiki's breaking the "good news" (Thom: Wow. We're so… Edwardian.) and rewriting all the plans she'd made before.
With an ever-expanding waistline, her nightmare childhood "friend" Annie pregnant too, all the problem authors at Polka Dot Books she could (not) wish for and an army of NW London's Smug Mothers to deal with, these nine months might not be the nine months of blooming relaxation she'd been promised.

Review: Last year I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing Sam's debut novel 'The Wedding Diaries' and now I can say I have just finished the equally as funny and loveable second book in the series.
Kiki Carlow (Katherine) is a loveable character and in reading this novel it's like reuniting with an old friend. It felt like I was reading from a friends diary. What a book the twists and turns of everyday life and especially for new mum's. I cannot identify with being a mum as I have no children, but my kid sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in September and I can see how much of a rollercoaster ride it is.

Kiki will have you laughing, crying and even cringing at certain aspects of this book, she really does say what everyone else is thinking.
I well and truly fell in love with her and Thom all over again. I love Sam's writing I found the diary entries and emails from when she had given birth hilarious, you can see from the writing that Sam is expressing how truly shattered Kiki really is. A funny, feel good read, but there are also some real-life tough issues that come up (I won't say as I don't want to spoil the story) but I really enjoyed the way this was handled. There were a fair few OMFG! seriously moments and at one point I even found myself sounding quite stupid by saying out loud OMG YES FIONA!. I feel like Kiki and Thom are very close friends of mine and I have loved following them on this wonderful journey.
I cannot wait to see what's next for them both and their beauty of a child.
If you want a feel good read that you can read quite quickly get your hands on 'The Wedding Diaries' and 'The Baby Diaries.' I also love how Sam has yet again added some tips at the back of the book I will keep this by for the impending time when I may well need the help haha!.

Last week I was lucky enough to meet Sam funnily enough on the day I started reading 'The Baby Diaries' Sam is a delight and I look forward to the next book in the series, even though she told me it has been delayed. All good things come to those who wait eh???
