L.A Weatherlys US Cover Release!

Heres the new released US cover of L.A Weatherlys YA Novel Angel. Its going to be released from Walker books in the US on the 29th of May. I have read this book and its a fantastic book its part of a trilogy so two more awesome books to come! US readers are going to fall in love with it!! isn't the cover pretty? I do prefer the UK cover though!

Author: L.A Weatherly
Summary: In a world where angels are beyond redemption, Alex thinks he's found one that might deserve mercy. Alex is a ruthless assassin - of angels. Forget everything you've heard about them before. Angels are not benign celestial creatures, but fierce stalkers whose irresistible force allows them to feed off humans, draining them of their vitality until there is barely anything left.

As far as Alex is concerned, the only good angel is a dead angel...until he meets Willow. She may look like a normal teenager but Willow is no ordinary girl. Half-angel, half-human, Willow may hold the key to defeating the evil angels. But as the hunter and the hunted embark on an epic and dangerous journey and Willow learns the dark and terrifying secrets of her past, Alex finds himself drawn to Willow...with devastating consequences. Eoin Colfer reinvented the fairy, Stephenie Meyer reinvented the vampire, L.A. Weatherly reinvents the angel!

This is a heart-pounding, knuckle-whitening, paranormal romance action-adventure for fans of the "Twilight" series. This is the first in a devastating new trilogy

Book review Firelight By Sophie Jordon

Title: Firelight
Author: Sophie Jordin
UK Publishers: Oxford
Paperback: 272
UK release date: March 3rd 2011
Summary: Marked as special at an early age, Jacinda knows her every move is watched. But she longs for freedom to make her own choices. When she breaks the most sacred tenet among her kind, she nearly pays with her life. Until a beautiful stranger saves her. A stranger who was sent to hunt those like her. For Jacinda is a draki—a descendant of dragons whose greatest defense is her secret ability to shift into human form.

Sophie Jordin has brought Draki to the world of Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Angels and Shadowhunters and made it her own. This book has got to be the most romantic book I have read in a long time. Each chapter, each page and each line had me crying, sighing and smiling. Ive never had a book touch me in such a way that had me thinking about it days after imagening what could of happened...and what would of happened.

The characters in this novel stand out so much. Move over Edward Cullen move over Jace Wayland hello Will! Another smoldering lead guy. One who you could definantly fall in love with. From his unconditional love to his smoldering good looks. Jacinda oh Jacinda another girl you can relate to from having a annoying mother who wont let her do anything to just wanting to be herself but cant. With Sophies amazing writing you can really feel her emotion all the way through the book.
The one scene that stood out the most for me is actually the first scene between Jacinda and Will that little moment between them just set the whole scene of the book for me it was small but so touching. The realtionship between Will and Jacinda is beautiful I love how the roles have swapped. In most of the books I have read its usually the guy trying really hard to hide who he is from the girl he loves but its the other way around and I find this really refreshing.

The quality of writing is fantastic the orginality, the pace, and the fluidity. The way she describes the draki is so “beautiful” as Will would say. Each time I read the description of Jacindas firey skin I'd turn to the front cover and admire it. This book definanlty makes you read on and on from the beginning till the end. Ive never read a book so quick in my life. Just because I wanted to know what happens next. The plot is definanlty something that I loved most about this book the whole on the run plot was fantastic. Pretending to be human just to fit in school so Jacinda her sister and her mother would'nt be found by their pride. This kept me on edge.

I cannot wait for the second book in this series to be released in the UK and I am sure the rest of the series will be just as fantastic. So Thanks Sophie for your magical novel. It will take pride in place on my bookshelf with the stories I will never forget.

Book review Vampire Crush By A.M Robinson

Title: Vampire Crush
Author: A.M Robinson
Paperback: 416 pages
Publisher: Harper Teen (28 Dec 2010)
Authors Website: http://www.amrobinsonbooks.com/

Summary: I swear, my life was always totally normal.

Normal house, normal family, normal school. My looks are average, I don't have any superpowers, no one's showing up to tell me I'm a princess—you get the picture. But when my junior year started, something not normal happened. There were new kids at school . . . new kids with a wardrobe straight out of a 19th-century romance novel, and an inexplicable desire to stay at school until sundown.

And on top of that, James Hallowell showed up. James, who stole my sandwiches in fourth grade and teased me mercilessly through middle school. James, who now seems to have the power to make my heart race any time he comes near.

But something weird is going on. Because James rarely goes out during the day. And he seems stronger than your typical guy. And he knows the new kids, all of whom seem to be harboring some kind of deep secret. . . .

Finally another Vampire book I love. One thats so modern it even mentions Rihanna and Twilight. A.M Robinson has introduced a realistic set of vampires to the world. Very relatable very likeable. When I first started the book I had my doubts. I thought it was going to be another Twilight. Oh how wrong I was as a matter of fact this book lets say mentions Twilight in a humorous way which will have you giggling.

The quality of writing is fantastic the pace, the orginality, fullness of the development and the fluidity. All these make a good novel and this novel has them all. You can definanlty see all these characters in a school that you go to. Even though they are vampires they are all still going through the same things teenagers go through and thats what makes me relate to it a lot. From the Love/hate relationship with Sophie and James to the Growing apart relationship between Vlad and Marisabel these sort of aspects in this book make it what it is a fantastic romance novel. Its light hearted its not so serious which is refreshing from the other Vampire books I have read.

There is a lot of humour in this book. My favourite line is “ "His eyes are warm as he leans forward this is either a kiss or a really slow head-butt” these humours one liners just make the book not so doom and gloom. The plot is definanlty something that I loved most about this book. Always surprises always making my heart flutter a little bit so thank you A.M Robinson. You’ve created a world I feel a part of and never want to leave. Congratulations on the Amazing Novel and I hope and pray there will be a follow up! Go buy this book! You will NOT be disapointed.

Book review My Soul to Take By Rachel Vincent

Title: My Soul to take
Author: Rachel Vincent
Publishers: Mira Books
Paperback: 368 pages
Rachel Vincents Website: http://rachelvincent.com/

Summary: She doesn't see dead people, but She senses when someone near her is about to die. And when that happens, a force beyond her control compels her to scream bloody murder. Literally.

Kaylee just wants to enjoy having caught the attention of the hottest guy in school. But a normal date is hard to come by when Nash seems to know more about her need to scream than she does. And when classmates start dropping dead for no apparent reason, only Kaylee knows who'll be next

Everytime I pick up a new book I hope and pray it captivates me and keeps me reading. Did this book do this? DEFINANTLY. From the Main Characters Kaylee, Nash and Todd to the unbelievable way its set out and written.

The Book affected me a lot. In the way that I could tell Rachel did her research. The detail to the way Banshees were written was really insiteful and interesting. As soon as I finished the book I got on google and researched on these old myths about the irish banshees. Heres a picture I came across Scary huh? ;)

Its something I have never come across in any of the books I have read and that is one of the reasons I love this book dearly...its because its new and fresh and something I could never imagen being written about in a YA novel but it has and it works. The quality of writing is fantastic the pace, the orginality, fullness of the development and the fluidity. All these make a good book and this book has them all.

Rachels Characters are not at all flat or three-dimensional. You can definantly relate to them all. Nash is the lead boy in the book hes very dreamy and I am sure the girl readers of this book will just fall madly in love with him by the end (I did). I cant really say much about Todd because I haven't seen much from him as in Character Development. But from what I have read I can say hes very Loyal and I see he has an eye on Kaylee. Kaylee is not your typical damsell in distress.. shes very headstrong. She knows what she wants and never lies... You can always relate to a nice girl like this. There are many more characters in this book and they all are very likeable and relatable in all aspects.

This book definanlty wants to make you read on and on. From the beginning of the book you have no idea why Kaylee is like this and then BAM it hits you. There were no hints of what she could be and as soon as you find out all your therioes are blow out the window. So much suspence so many conclusions you wouldn't even think would happen. When characters cry you cry. When characters get angry you get angry. These concepts make Rachel's book fantastic.

I cannot wait for the second book in this series to be released in the UK and I am sure the rest of the series will be just as fantastic. Rachel Vincents My Soul to Take will take pride in place on my book shelf with the stories I will never forget.

Sophia Taylor knew that her life had gotten pretty surreal when she woke up on her sofa, bleeding from the head, with her boyfriend Henry smoking her cheap cigarettes (which he never hesitated to complain about before). Why was this surreal?
1- Because she was only bleeding because he had effectively pushed her down the stairs.
2- He, being Henry Blaire, her boyfriend, but also the man that she had paid ten thousand pounds to murder the two killers of her sister Alison.
3- Henry was smoking all of her cigarettes because she was bleeding from the head.
4- Which would have been so bad if Henry wasn't an incubus with an addiction to human blood and killing the scum of the earth to get it.There, Sophia's secret. And all she used to worry about was a double shift at the bar and when her cupboard at home was running low on vodka and peanuts
